Going away service

We will be having a special going away service for Mark & Ellen Weber on Sunday, August 25 for their almost 10 years with us at MPCC. There will be only ONE service that morning at 9:30am in the Family Life Center with Mark bringing the message. There will be no services at 8:30 or 10:45am, Sunday school or ABF classes. Kids church and childcare will still be available. Potluck lunch and a card shower reception to follow. We ask that you bring 2 dishes to share. Meat, drinks and table service will be provided. Please let us know if you and your family are able to attend by calling the church office.

"Coffee with the Elders"

Tuesday, August 27 is “coffee with the elders” for anyone who would like to come and have prayer or discuss any matters they may have. The elders will be available from 6:30 - 7:30pm in the room across from Mark’s office.

IF:Gathering 2019

Our LAST summer session to watch IF:Gathering 2019 will be offered on Monday, August 26 at 6:00pm and Tuesday, August 27 at 10:00am in the FLC dining room.   All women are invited to attend and free childcare will be provided. Please let us know in the church office if you will be attending either the Monday evening session or Tuesday morning session. If you need childcare please let us know many children you will bring. Questions? Contact the church office.

LeVault's "Pastry Potluck"

Sunday, September 1 will be the LeVault’s last Sunday with us at MPCC. Garrett is bringing the message at both the 8:30am and 10:45am services. During the Sunday school hour at 9:30am, we will have a "Pastry Potluck" and a card shower reception in the Family Life Center for him, Emily, and Austen. All Sunday school classes and ABF's will not meet that morning.  If you and your family are able to attend please let us know in the church office to sign up to bring your favorite morning pastry.

Women's Ministry

This fall, the Women’s Ministry will discover the redemptive side to Job’s story of suffering. Learn to use pain to strengthen your faith, point others to the gospel, and  remember God’s providence will never take you to a place where His grace will not sustain you. We will offer the same session twice on Monday, September 9 at 6:00pm and Thursday, September 12 at 10:00am. Books for this study will be $15. To order a book, please call the church office or check box #4 on your communication card. Contact Shea for more information.

Van Fund

Safety is always a concern and the van we now own is getting to the point where we feel we need to replace it with a newer one. So we are in the process of looking for a 15-passenger van. If you would like to contribute toward it, please feel free to do so. We ask that any contributions be above-and-beyond your regular giving. Simply write “van fund” in the memo line of your check or on the outside of your offering envelope. Thank you.
